Example Uniforms from www.shopuniformity.com     There has been tons of debate about the use of school uniforms in our schools. Parents and students are quite divided on the subject and I wanted to know how you feel about uniforms in school. Now just so you know I am going to link you to this article to read about the subject. Post your comments to this post.

As for my feelings, I think they couldn’t hurt or hinder a student. I know that students will no longer have the status issues that are attached to fashion in school. No longer will a student be singled out because of what they wear to school. Also, it sets the tone for work and learning at school. This is no different than any other work setting when our students have careers of their own.

However, that is as David Warlick says “my 2 ¢ worth”, I am more interested in hearing about yours.  By the way hear are some articles you can read on the subject:

I guess it would be all right beacuse like you said you wouldn’t have to deal with the issues of fashion in the schhol beacuse every buddy would be wearing the same thiing. But I also wouldn’t like it as well beacuse like the other aticle say it takes our freedom on the way we drees.

I think that school unifoms are not a good idea to older students, I wouldn’t be in favour in them. Their own clothes that
they wear to school are their own choice. That shows that they are indipendant, and have their sense of style. Wearing
something that someone else chose for you isn’t fun.

Anyway, whenever someone thinks that they are ‘made fun of’
you’re clothes are people who are un-confident about themselves, many people are like that. But We need to have our
own look to other people, so that they know that we are not all the same.

Reece, do you think it really takes our freedoms away on how we dress? Many jobs and careers require you to wear a uniform for work. Do you think school should be any different?

Crystal, while having the freedom to chose what you want to wear is admirable, don’t you think we put too much of an emphasis on what people wear instead of who they are? Would you rather be known for your personality or that you wore trendy clothing? Having a uniform would put everyone on a “level playing field” and allow themselves to express themselves in other ways. Wearing your own choice of clothes doesn’t prove your individuality.

I think it would be unfair to wear uniforms because students like to dress in there own fashion . some kids us clothes to express theirselves.

plus it would be harder for the parents because they would have to pay for the uniforms and our clothes to on the weekend and after school.some people ant rich they probly wouldn’t have enough money for school uniforms and clothes for weeksends .
some kids dont like to dress the same would just be boring.

Yes, I think that if you got uniforms peolple would stop thinking about vhoe they look,. They would start thinking adout woke more if we were to tyr it we would end up likeing it becuase we could add your own accessories well im not shore what I have tried

Our school has a uniform policy and all students must wear school uniform.
It is good because it fosters unity and it is easier to keep track of the students.
It gives great pride to the students too. We found that on days when uniform is off,
the students behave badly. By the way ,our students are young ( 5 to 11 years old ).
